Near death experience

Phone conversation this morning -

P: Fatty, I nearly died today!

V: [shriek of horror] What?! [and then, very loudly] What happened?

P: I have been in my own world lately, very stressed with work and all.. When you told me this morning it was Mum-Dad's anniversary, I thought it was your Mum-Dad's anniversary. It didn't strike me it was my parents' anniversary. That is why I told you to remind me to call them at 2 o'clock, because it would be 6.30 in India then.

V: :-

P: I had just called home to ask Dad what occasion it is today for Tamilians to go to the temple. And he said, 'No occasion, only my wedding anniversary'. And I said, 'Yes, that I know, but what else is there?'

V: :-

P: Imagine if I would've called your parents and wished them as soon as you told me!

V: :- :- :-

Actually, I cannot imagine that!
