YOLO!

I'm a bit ashamed of the pace at which I'm completing this challenge. I ought to rename this A to Z Challenge as That A to Z Project (until I actually end up finishing the last post, which should be the next one). We all know that "projects" come with imaginary deadlines, and so it has been with this "project" (and nearly every other one of my undertaking). Please note that every time I type the word(s) "project(s)" here, I am saying it out loud exactly so, i.e. "project" while I simultaneously draw/ depict/ indicate quotation marks (or twitchy bunny ears) in the air.

In the event that I don't finish this "project" (Z for never-mind-that-at-the-moment) by the end of the year, please remind me to change the name of this "project" to a more appropriate A to Y Project, which is not so bad, I think, except for the incredibly high possibility that no one will read this, which will lead to no one reminding me, and my "project" will remain incorrectly named, and I will die a slow death. (Here's me reinstating myself as the queen of complex-compound sentences, and parenthesis).

And then I'll come back around this time next year (if not completely dead by then) and use my new safe-word, which is a mildly alarming: YOLO!

Mid-post Glossary (as I fear you may not get to the end of this post):
Correct usage of this safe-word:
- It is entirely in the upper case (or shouty capitals), which means you ought to shout it
- There's an exclamation mark, which means you must click at the end of the shouting
Much like mutating mosquitoes, people evolve. If you're not too careful, they will start calling your bluff. In recent times, my Hmm's have been contested. Close friends will drag you to hell when they find out you're using safe-words with them. I have felt the heat a few times; it is not very pleasant. My universal safe-word backfired in my face and things were very sooty for a while...

Until I came up with a bunch of safe-words to replace my hum-grunt. I'm not stupid enough to list all of them here, but since we're on this topic, I shall benevolently volunteer more information on it.

I find this ridiculous revelation that one only lives once quite fantastic. It can be accurately used as an enthusiastic response in a variety of situations when you can't think of anything else to say. For example, I'm getting married, Off to Timbuktoo, etc. However, with great fantastic-ism comes great responsibility; refrain from applying it to things like You owe me money, I've got "the loosies", etc. I've got other safe-words for these, but I'll keep them to myself, lest I become an unwitting contestant again.

As I end another abrupt post in this "project", here's a gentle reminder that you only die once too, so start working on your safe-words now.

*Special thanks to Louise Rennison and Russel Peters for contributing to my glossary, which they're never going to read.

- Y for YOLO! (My A to Z Challenge)
