The Fridge Police

I'm not sure what has changed all of a sudden. There have been a huge number of complaints from a lot of my colleagues recently about food going missing when left in the fridge overnight. Hell, even my Turkey slices were gone a couple of weeks ago. I have refused to let any food of mine stay in the fridge 'for later', and have thus been downing large pots of soups just so I don't lose them to some-one/thing else. It is particularly upsetting when you anticipate a good meal/ snack only to find it missing from where you last let it sit.

Somebody is stealing or binning away other people's food. But why?!

I have speculated a bit.. It could be a. some weirdo from the office (so many new joinees lately), b. some weirdo from the other office we share our kitchen with (so many new joinees there too), or c. one of the cleaners 'cleaning out' the fridge (so many new joinees there too).

Whoever it is, this is very frustrating, because this stealthy person doesn't leave any clues, and has never been caught red-handed. Goodness knows what the affected people would do to them if and when they find out who it is! One of my colleagues sent out a frightening email to the entire office yesterday saying: Can the person that opened my Philadelphia light and ate it go out and buy a new one and make sure it's in the fridge at 1 for my lunch? I suppose we can trust her to hammer this loose screw with one of her stilettos..

I really hope this problem subsides on its own! Otherwise, somebody should call the Fridge Police to investigate.
