Hodgepodge post for the day

There is a song stuck in my head for no apparent reason. No apparent reason because the song is Dilli-6. It just refuses to fade out, despite its irrelevance in my life! What with twitchy eye, this is getting to be a strange oddity (an oddity which is so odd that it is also strange).

In other news, I've finally finished reading His Dark Materials. I must say the entire trilogy left me pretty darned disappointed. I don't really know what it was all about any more. God is bad and the serpent in the garden of Eden was good? (It is a question posed for Pullman, I am not being blasphemous!) I mean, is there a Book Four coming, or what? I doubt that though. Also, the third book was kiddy porn to some extent, which is mighty disgusting, although I do read a lot of Louise Rennison!

Anyway, I've started reading Twilight now (finally!) despite Aditi's warning that it is boring. So far, it is brimming with subtle sarcasm (a lot of stuff I can use on other people, so I'm quite liking it =) I haven't watched the movie yet, simply because I wanted to read the book first. I will have to watch it on the laptop now, unless I can somehow connect the internet to the new telly (which, by the by, hasn't even come yet!)
