The Adnan Sami concert

I'm glad that the much awaited concert lived up to (my ;) expectations, but I must admit that I found Sami's opening incredibly boring. Firstly, I didn't even know the song. Secondly, it dragged on and on. And thirdly, he sang Udi udi only for about two seconds and then got back to the same boring song he was lost in. His little stint with the musicians made him resurface for a while though. But when he came back after his break, he was absolutely top notch! Especially when he made us all sing Tera chehra, it was quite the moment! I have a video in which Sreya and I are odiously braying the chorus swaying hypnotically. Thankfully, it was quite dark and you can only hear us =)

The rest of the troup didn't let me down either (as if they toured for the sole purpose of entertaining me =)

Monali Thakur (of the Race disco numbers fame) and Javed Ali (of Fanaa's Chand sifarish fame) were very impressive. I recognised Monali from Indian Idol 2 (Well, yes, I used to watch it, but it was just the one season!!). They were both like little breaths of fresh air with unique voices.

Even the comedian VIP was good only the second time he came back on stage. He did this.

There was some woman who danced to some Bollywood numbers. I didn't mind missing her performances because they were very well-deserved toilet breaks considering the amount of liquids I had ingested all evening :)
