Sugar & Spice

Sugar :: Dessert what Spice :: [not sure of the term, but I mean foods like rice, dal, meat, vegetable, etc. - DBRSM*]. Please note that by Spice I mean chilli and the likes, not the nalla stuff like Parsley and other herbs.

I cannot tolerate sugar in my DBRSM* or spice in my dessert. I do not like Tiramisu. (However, I must admit that I quite like Spiced Rum)

I have pleasantly discovered that it is absolutely fine to mix the two i.e. Sugar and Spice (not Spice and Rum) to make a snack (strictly to be eaten between meals). Please note that this is my personal discovery, and it does not call for a patent. The thought of filing for a patent in this case is not only incredibly ridiculous but incredibly daft as well.

(I digress!)

As is apparent, I am thrilled about my talent of replicating taste. Erm, I am specifically referring to Nana's rowo (Konkani for Semolina; pro: raw-woe) which I absolutely loved as a child. I have successfully cooked up this snack only from the memory of the taste, and I'm pretty darned proud of that because I've probably had it for the last time a few million years ago.

I've made enough to last me a week, unless it decides to let some fungus grow on it instead.

[*DBRSM - short for Dal, Bhaat, Rotli, Saag, Meat]
